Engravings

Marcapiano juggles with diamond points of different thickness and hardness to engrave by hand on very fragile glass and crystals, the slightest pressure on which can irreparably compromise the conclusion of the work of art. In 2008 he began to create his first   engravings on art objectswith particular design, such as refined vases and goblets, but the possible applications of this technique are varied and infinite. In 2012 he created his first series of engravings on satin glass of different colors.

In 2018 Marcapiano approaches a new tool, the pyrograph, creating a series ofwood engravings with pyrography.

The engravings have made Marcapiano an extremely eclectic and versatile artist, capable of realizing his artistic genre in the most varied ways and on always different supports.
