Even the inks, made exclusively freehand with a nib using different polychrome combinations, present a surprising effect, where every connection of the lines is almost perfect. Each work is created instinctively without creating preventive sketches. Looking carefully at each work, one is amazed by the precision and extreme cleanliness of the strokes. Marcapiano's hand moves with ease and unstoppable firmness, tracing segments and intersecting curves in the most imaginative ways to give life to a texture of solids and voids in a continuous and inexhaustible variability of features and subjects. Marcapiano's characteristic motifs (lilies, play of solids and voids, dotted lines, succession of circles…) recur in his works with ever new and different combinations, reinforcing the delicacy, refinement and elegance of his art. The artist continues to evolve and improve his technique until he creates the first shaded ink (January 2013), which represent a further novelty and innovation in the art world.
